小悦悦事件....

Last few weeks, I heard a very sad news from Facebook as well as TV....I believe that most of the people in the world knew about this news....

A two-year-old Chinese girl run over by two different vehicles and ignored by passersby died on Friday, state media said, in a case which ignited public uproar over what some called a moral numbness seeping through society.

Both drivers who ran over the girl have been arrested, but Internet users have flooded microblogs decrying the apathy of the people who left her for dead, after graphic footage from a security camera of the incident went viral.

Wang Yue died of brain failure more than a week after the accident in Foshan in the far southern province of Guangdong, Xinhua news agency said.

Last Tuesday, I was having a training at my company, and the trainer is a Singaporean. She told me about the feeling she has toward this incident.

Trainer: To be honest, toward this incident, if I were one of the 18 strangers, I will DO THE SAME THING...

Me: (stunned)

Trainer: The reason I said so because there is one China colleague told me that, in China, please mind your own business enough, do not simply go and help people in the street.

Me: Why?

Trainer: Because if you help the person, the person might blame you that you are the one who hurt him/her. This mean that if that time, I go and save the little girl, I might be charged for murdering. Unless, the little girl claims that she hurts by herself.

Me: (Speechless....)

Trainer: And if I were committed to the police there, believe me, they are all corrupted...So, I will have to eat this "dead cat"....Therefore, in China, please do not watch up when you want to help a person, if can, just ignore it...

What do you think about this? In this conversation, I truly believe that she is so "kia-si" which causing her having this kind of thinking - afraid to be cheated or blamed instead of losing a life...

What will you do if you are the stranger who walked pass the little girl? Will you save her?

I will definitely save her, whether pulling her to the road side or calling an ambulance for her....every action does mean to her....but not ignorance....what the world is going on? because of selfish? because of money? Is this more value than a life? NO!!!!

This accident has given me a warning, as well as to everyone in this world....Bare in mind, money can buy many things, but not life and time....
